Sometimes, I am not really even sure how it all started. It just did and I just started with what I had.
Beginnings are so humbling.
After twenty five years in the legal field, I yearned for a deeper connection. Then an unexpected loss in my life sent me searching. . .
I had always loved flowers and gardening and I wanted to expand growing and sharing that love. So, I just dug deep and made the leap. In 2018, I started growing cut flowers on our two acre property located in Dayton, Nevada. My daughter, Kylie and mom, Sue, quickly became integral parts of the operation.
Today we all live and farm together on our 33 acre desert oasis in Fallon, Nevada.
One word: WATER
We needed more water and a lot of it!
Fallon is known as the "Oasis in the Desert" and a big part of that has to do with the water basin here. Lake Lahonton is about 30 minutes away and serves as a holding basin and feeder for the 1903 Newlands Project. If you like reading and learning about water projects, click here to learn more!
